David Terhune is a songwriter, band leader and writer of opinion pieces who lives in Brooklyn, New York. He is the founder of The Kustard Kings, who became the house band for the popular Loser's Lounge shows in New York City starting in 1993 and continuing today at Joe's Pub, The Public Theater. The Kustard Kings have two instrumental albums on Confidential Recordings - "Blam!" and "A Kustard Kristmas." David's many bands include Plink and Scud (with Tom Duval), Normal Men (with Larry Gallagher), Leap of Faith, Bootfoot (with Eleanor Imster), The Fraidy Cats and The Terhune Brothers (with brothers Rob and Kevin). He has appeared on recordings and played drums with The Sloppy Joes (Michael Shelley) and guitar with The Liquor Giants. His lyrics have been used by composer Randall Woolf. David is a frequently published writer of letters-to-the-editor, having over 150 letters printed since 2006. In 2011, David served as the music director for the Stick Against Stone Orchestra, which was filmed and recorded for the upcoming documentary and album "Get It All Out."

1982 - Normal Men opened for The Ramones at Wollman Auditorium. 1983-1985 - Leap of Faith a regular attraction at CBGB. Loser's Lounge residencies: 1994-2000 and 2002-2005 - the Fez, NYC. 2000-2002 - The Westbeth Theater, NYC. 2005-present - Joe's Pub, The Public Theater, NYC. July 2008, 2010-2015 - Midsummers Night Swing, Lincoln Center, Damrosch Park, NYC.
